The SBF Foundation is an Institution of Public Character (IPC) set up in 2013 by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) in response to our Prime Minister’s call for businesses to be more engaged in corporate philanthropy and corporate social responsibility so as to build a more inclusive society.
The SBF Foundation has been envisioned to be a foundation of the business community for the community of Singapore. It seeks to champion and multiply the efforts of the business community in corporate social responsibility and corporate giving; and to promote the welfare and employability of disadvantaged persons in the workforce.
Established in 1906, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) is an internationally renowned business organisation and the apex body of the Chinese business community in Singapore. It is the founder of the biennial World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention and the World Chinese Business Network (www.wcbn.com.sg), a global online business information portal. It plays a key and pro-active role in representing the interests of the local business community. In its continued drive for service excellence, the SCCCI has become the first business chamber in the region to be awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification since 1995. In 2009, the Chamber successfully upgraded its ISO certification to ISO 9001:2008.
The SCCCI has a membership network comprising over 4,000 corporate members and over 150 trade association members, representing over 40,000 companies including large financial and business organisations, multinational corporations, government-linked companies, and small and medium enterprises from a wide spectrum of trades and industries. These members together provide vast resources and opportunities which enable the SCCCI to develop an influential global Chinese business network for business, education, culture and community development. In return, they share a strong sense of pride and identity together and benefit immensely from the SCCCI’s membership services, facilities and activities.
The National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) is an independent not-for-profit organisation that advocates giving in Singapore. Our vision is to be a Giving Nation by growing a culture of giving in Singapore. We work closely with other non-profit organisations, corporates, public sector agencies, institutions as well as the community to build a robust ecosystem to make giving simple, fun and meaningful.
"The spirit of giving means sharing the joy, laughter and fun, making the hearts of others warm all the time."
